Hagler,Jones,Holy,Spinks,Hearns rank these guys in order?

    Holyfield's resume is much better than spinks's, I can't rank spinks above him. Spinks has like 5 good wins: Eddie Mustafa, Dwight Qawi, Marvin, Yaqui, and Larry Holmes. The rest of his resume is paper thin.

    YEy but thats a good resume, thats like sayin Leonard doesnt have a good resume if you take the Duran,Hagler,Hearns,Benitez wins away.

    Also knocking out the much larger Cooney was also a good win for Spinks, i mean Cooney might not have been to active at the time but he was still a very dangerous foe. Spinks was giving up 3 to 4 inches in height and 30 lbs.

    Cooney was the favored man by most experts going into that fight also, and Spinks destroyed a Super Heavyweight standing at 6'6. Underrated win.

    Agreed and Spinks kod him pretty bad, got rid of him quicker than Holmes did.

    Spinks was awesome, i have his fights against marvin johnson and vonzell johnson on dvd and ive seen him beat larry holmes too. However, he just didnt fight enough, i cant see him above holyfield, the gap in resume is very large.

    I love Spinks. He was terrific. Dominated a good LHW division, never looked like losing there really, and then moved up and dealt with Holmes and demolished a Super Heavyweight in Cooney. He had no chance against Tyson but he is a certified ATG, one of the most under-appreciated greats also.

    yeY ID PROBABLY PICK HOLY OVER SPINKS tooo put the gap isnt large its pretty close imo. You cant forget that Spinks is one of the greatest LHs ever and being the first to jump up and beat the linear heavyweight champion is an extraoridinary accomplishment. Still hasnt been done since, i dont count Jones and Toneys win over Ruiz since he was a paper champ.
