Man...LOL...where u guys been?? This is a pretty old one. I have some others you may have never heard before, too....the answers to these three questions are pretty interesting I think...anyone know them? 1. What all time great heavyweight champions brother scored a prelim fight victory over the father of a future heavyweight champion (who wasn't born until several years after his dad lost to the great champs brother)? 2. Less than a year later the champs brother fought his final fight, losing by a TKO to a boxer who would later be more well known as a major motion picture villain. Any ideas? 3. In another twist, what future promoter lost a decision in one of his few pro fights to the father of the future champ in question # 7? ICE
Rahman Ali was Muhammad Ali's brother, and often fought on his famous brother's undercards. On one of those undercards he beat Joe Byrd, who is the father of Chris Byrd, who would win a version of the heavyweight championship. Rahman would end his career after being stopped by Jack O Halloran. Joe Byrd was able to beat Don Elbaum, the promoter who opened doors to Don King
I looked up BoxRec and it says the Roy Jones who was knocked out by Hagler resided in Las Vegas. Did Roy Jones Sr. ever live in Vegas? And Don King is the brother of, you guessed it, Kevin Bacon.
On boxrec, Roy Jones Sr (RJJ's dad) does not have a career record listed...He is only described as "Formerly Roy Jones Jr. trainer"...All other trainers have there career records listed; maybe the RJ that fought hagler wasn't RJS....
