I had the fight a draw. The fact that hardly anyone scored the bout 6 rounds a piece shows that most people just get caught up in the controversy instead of just scoring the fight objectively. Hagler fans want to say he was robbed but the fact is that this fight was very close and could have gone either way be a point.

The first time, I had Hagler winning do to aggression, damage. He looked like he got the better of things. The second time I watched it I had Leonard winning largely do to ring generalship, point scoring flurries to knick close rounds, and taking the early rounds.

Hagler never loss that fight Leonard was just throwing those flurries with no power and running the whole time no wonder Hagler left boxing after the fight.

Leonard imo clearly won the first 4 rds as Hagler did absolutely nothing. He then only had to win 3 of the remaining 8 rds. Leonard won the fight. Hagler fought garbage that night and has himself to blame. Couldn't beat a blown up welter who had fought once in 5 yrs.

Hagler, all day, every day. At the time, many of felt it was an outrageous decision. I still do.

Leonard clearly won. All the people picking Hagler are just armchair fighters who never trained a day in their lives, living vicariously through a persona/media image.

These types always go with who is considered the "harder" guy by fan standards.

    Hagler won that fight 115-113.

They gave it to Leonard because he was the cash cow and was going to continue his career, whereas Hagler had no intention of fighting again.
