Oh Yeah!!! and the others are to beat up by "The Wildest Tiger" to fight each other. Pittsburgh Windmill:rasta
Too much speculation for my liking. Anyone of hem could beat any other of these four on a given night. In a thread like this the fighter with the most fanboys comes out on top. But I want to add that you should watch more Hopkins' fights, he wasn't a spoiler for most part of his career. He just became one when he got older.
It would be easier with footage of Greb, although I fear his iron chin and style could see him stunt Hopkins' rhythm and win a decision. Greb was used to getting close and swarming bigger guys, with in and out movement and a frenetic style; could Monzon use his size and jab and eventually build up his rhythm as he did against this guy? I think he can, winning a decision in a close fight. I personally think Hagler has the all round game to beat Greb, the mix of close fighting skills, high workrate, toughness and boxing skills to get it done. I also think Hagler has it in him to beat the other two. If they all fight each other three times they all beat each other at least once I reckon. Though I think Hagler would drop the least decisions.
I like Monzon's Fernet Branca trunks. That automatically shoves him into the position of winning some fights in exciting trilogies.
Someone posted Hopkins' thoughts about how he would do against Monzon and Hagler a while back. Interesting read. As I remember, he reckonned that he and Hagler would ruin each other in a war and that Monzon probably would beat him. To speculate how Greb would do, who we have no film of, is useless IMO.
I'm going to start making predictions for fights in 2010 without seeing one of the fighters or both actually and also coming to a conclusion on a certain fighter's ability, etc, without actually seeing them at all. Surely that holds the same amount of water when rating Greb's ability or as a great and picking him over Monzon or Hagler. What's the difference? None at all.
I agree with most that using Greb in fantasy match-ups is pointless. It's impossible to really tell how he does H2H. As for the other 3, I'd favor Monzon to come out on top, with next to nothing splitting Hopkins and Hagler.
