Hagler v Hearns ("The War"): How Did/Do You Score the First Round?

Hagler won the round by my god, did Tommy really go for it!!

 

Tommy landed the harder shots and hurt Marvin, that first right hand he landed clean was great but it was not enough and broke his hand somewhere in that first minute, but I voted Marvin won the round ... He had Tommy on the backing up and on the ropes at the end of the round, even though Tommy was landed clean Marvin was also.. neither guy was showing much defense that is for sure, so I have to give it to him.. He was on a mission and he created his legacy.. Tommy fought well and put up a hell of a fight, but Marvin was on a legacy mission.. Tommy really had a hard time winning that night against that kind of motivation with Marvin.

 

10 - 9 for Hagler because of Hagler's non stop assault

You can see the strain on tommy's face as Hagler again sends Tommy to the ropes with a viscous body assault. The look on Tommy's face says it all "whew, F*ck!"

only because of Tommy's thoroughbred pedigree, was he able to put up some real competition but his claims prior to the fight that he'd break down Hagler to the body, he couldnt make a dent
