You mean like the natural WW / L / Middle " name " on Hagler's resume, or how about the former 135lb " name " on there also?:roll:

Then again there is the 147 " name " that beat him too.:lol:

Hearns easily defeated long time reigning king Virgil Hill, a fighter who I feel beats Calzaghe … Hearns had his weaknesses but I feel Cal was not a fighter to exploit them … Tommy was faster, Tommy had a longer reach, Tommy started fast and no doubt Tommy could hurt him badly … in addition, Cal was no puncher and that plays well for Hearns as well … I think Hearns would have had an excellent chance to bomb Joe out or decision him ..

I'd take your opinion far more seriously if you threw in Pacman and Mayweather also.:roll:

Tommy Hearns couldn't beat Calzaghe as long as his ass points downwards. Nothing like busy enough to handle the work rate of Calzaghe. No stamina, and physically weak.

As stated Benn would do more damage to Hearns than he did the naturally, bigger, stronger, harder punching McClellan, but in a lot less time, and there is no way Nigel beats Calzaghe.

Again forget those 2, Mike McCallum would have toyed with Tommy Hearns.

I said WWs, meaning natural WWs, not blown up FWs/LWs.

Then you should have said " former " WW, as he was still only 21 when he won the Welter title, and had gone up in weight in 2 years never to return.

Not that it matters what he'd have weighed. Calzaghe stops him anyway.

    And your point is???

You might have made a better point if the still at the beginning of the vid, didn't give the appearance of Tommy looking ripped, and Mike looking to have a bit of excess around the midriff.

    Just saying.

Hearns isn't knocking out Calzaghe. He always had power but his ability to finish off quality opponents drops off dramatically above 154..while he himself becomes more receptive to stamina and durability issues.

I agree, Hearns had light heavyweight power as a welterweight but his chin, strength & stamina does not move up in weight...these are still all great fighters and capable but Tommys best was at welterweight-154

    Calzaghe's chin :)30's)

Hearn's crushing a very strong light heavyweight

Calzaghe is a terrific style match up for Hearn's . Tommy had 5" in reach, speed and power … Cal had a suspect chin and no power … I like Hearns by KO.

suspect chin never ko'd, listen hearns once slapped enough will evaporate, and hearns does not ko calzaghe fast. look at the leonard hearns 1 fight, he was knackered and the punches of leonard were more accumalative by that stage, alot like cals, but cal is the bigger bloke, leonard was also down many times, but recupirated, quite like cal does. u know hearns is a 154 fighter, calzaghe a 168 fighter, p4p hearns outranks cal. but doesnt beat him at joes natural weight :bbb
