The easy way out is to just say Charles at 175 and Hagler at 160, not sure though, it probably needs more analysis, Charles was clearly an immense 160 man.
Charles would dominate Hagler at light heavy, at middleweights its interesting while Ezzard was young he'd still probably be the best fighter Hagler had met at the weight.
At LHW, it's Ezzard and probably with ease. At MW, it is a tough question. Keep in mind that the Ezzard who defeated Burley -twice did it by outpunching him and then outboxing him. The first time he was a teenager who didn't train as hard as he could have... because he was studying for his high school final exams. His nickname in his prime was the Cincinnati Cobra. Before that it was the Cincinnati Schoolboy. Ezzard had height, speed, supreme talent and skill. After he whipped Burley on Burley's own turf, mind you, he had those monsters at Stillman's gym shaking in their shoes while their managers hid under their hats. The buzz this teenager caused at boxing's Holy of Holies is a matter record. Can 1980 Marvin defeat him...? I'm not at all sure. I suspect that he would not. Why? Because while Ezzard was cooled around this time by Lloyd Marshall, I don't think Marvin hit like Lloyd. Marvin's power was more debilitating over time. Ezzard's physical advantages would be telling here; he could box Marvin when things got rough, and he could bang on Marvin hard enough to keep even that curbstone chin tentative.
