Cheers, John. I simply was never impressed with Hill. I thought he was good, not great, despite all of his defenses, and would not have beaten any of the top fellows of the Saad Spinks era. I was never impressed with any of his victims. I feel all of these lightheavies were better than him: the aforementioned Spinks, Saad, Qawi, EMM, M Johnson, as well as Conteh, Galindez, James Scott and Yaqui Lopez. Again, it's just my opinion but how I see it. As far as Tommy is concerned, total respect. He's an atg. But, again, I simply don't fancy him as a great lightheavy.

Tommy's not a great light heavyweight, but i don't think i've ever seen a single claim anywhere that he is - ever.

I think Hill could have given a few of those a decent battle. His style would give him a shot at Lopez for instance, potentially. It's an interesting question actually. Hill was in a pretty weak era, but that mid 70's into the 80's era is INSANE. Talk about a lot of talent in one spot. You can only fight who is around.

    Cheers Clint.
