No, definitely not. No one destroys Golovkin, including Hagler. And I love Hagler and watched a good portion of his career while it happened. That would have been a war, between those two. A great fight.
LOL @ abel talking **** about hagler's opposition when GGG has never fought anyone with a pulse, and is fighting in one of the weakest divisions in boxing.
You're insane. Hagler would do to him what he did to Mugabi. GGG was exposed today. Finally the world sees what I've been saying. Technically, Monroe exposed him in that 4th round of their fight.
Brook isn't a small man. We saw that during the weigh ins leading up to the fight. He's the same height as Hagler was, I believe. Brook is a hell of a fighter. No chump. GGG is what he his. He just systematically breaks you down and destroys you. He knows no one can seriously dent his chin and thus he will take punches to give punches. He knows you will break before he does. Reminds me of Calzaghe in a way. Joe was so confident in his chin that he would put himself in danger at times. And he got dropped a couple of times because of that. GGG has never been seriously hurt. I love Hagler. He's one of my favorite fighters ever but no one, including Hagler, destroys Golovkin. That's a fantasy concept that doesn't exist in reality. To destroy someone, you have to be able to seriously hurt them first. No one has ever come close to doing that with Golovkin, as an amateur or pro. Love Hagler, but it's not happening. That doesn't mean Hagler doesn't beat GGG (he could, maybe), but "destroy?" No. Nobody destroys GGG. He's the destroyer.
Nope. I'm not insane and I have likely been watching boxing longer than you have been alive. Sorry noobs, you're dreaming.
Carlos Monzon would destroy him also. He's too easy to hit. A straight jab is just a money punch to land on GGG. He's fought nobodies. Brook was the best guy he fought. A welterweight. If he had power and was a natural mid then he'd have beaten Golovkin.
Neither would destroy GGG. Look, it's ok for newer posters to no understand the sport. That's not a crime. I won't hold your apparent ignorance against you. Just don't spit in my face and tell me it's raining. I've watched the sport for decades and don't need tips from noobs. GGG is the truth. And he's not even in his prime anymore, likely.
Golovkin has flaws, but he would at least be competitive, even with the best. Prime Hopkins would be a bad fight for him stylistically.
