Back in time and up in weight divisions too :eusa_doh:

By doing so they are freely admitting he is the best 160 pound fighter on the planet.

Im having a good time reading all the imbeciles on this board talking about GGG being exposed and overrated etc. I do believe Hagler would beat GGG but no way he just destroys him. People on this site are so fair weather.

Don't worry man. These guys are mostly Floyd fans trying to make themselves feel better.

Hagler-GGG. Man, that's a tough one. I really like both fighters and it would have been a great fight.

Of course, there's zero chance Hagler "destroys" GGG. That's just fantasy talk.

ydksab if you think Hagler wouldn't have absolutely slaughtered the GGG of tonight. Hagler ate everything Hearns had and kept coming forward. GGG's best punch would feel like a kiss for Marvelous.

Ggg looked like crap tonight what in the heck were you fools watching. There are probably 20 middleweights in the last 30 years I would comfortably put money on against ggg and probably 5-10 junior middleweights. Mugabi, Julian Jackson, mike McCallum and terry Norris all beat ggg and after tonight I have zero doubts about this

I recall watching Hagler in his prime and he was a huge factor in becoming so addicted to the sport.

However, he wouldn't have destroyed GGG.

I do believe he'd have beaten him and probably KO'd him in doing so, but you have to be blind to think there are many at this weight would destroy GGG. Defining "destroy" means humiliation and completely dominating a fight. That would not have happened. GGG is too strong and too powerful to let anyone do that.

The issue would have been that Hagler could take what he could throw and hit back just as hard. I just can't see how GGG would walk down a man of Hagler's sheer physical strength and get far with it without being badly hurt.

Hagler by TKO/KO in the late rounds.

He gets caught very easily, no matter how good his chin is Hagler would be landing hard and often, his shots would have an effect somewhere down the line.

Gerald McCellan would have given him nightmares, his defence is far from stellar and although he's technically sound he lacks a lot of speed. I like the kid a lot and sometimes you see flashes of destructive brilliance but I also see a very beatable fighter....
