I hope this thread stays here until May 2nd. I have thought about this fight. Mayweather does not have the same legs he had years ago. Fighters can catch up to him. Mayweather also has a low punch out put, and sometimes has issues with a bad hand. This fight could be about stamina, and heart as much as skills. I really think Manny if he can throw 10-15 punches a round more, can win this fight on points. We'll see.
Well he's right...........Floyd does NOT have class, but boxing has been populated by d/ckheads forever. Nothing new there. Ray Robinson drove a big Cadillac and wore the latest styles and wore a greased-back pompadour, but I certainly don't think anyone here is stupid enough to think fashion and flash equal class. He was as classless as they get. Just not sure how relevant Marvin's comments are. He's a bit late out of the gate anyway; Floyd's career is winding down, and he's been an ass as long as anyone can remember.
I agree with you,Mendoza. A big ask from Pacquiao who's also getting on a bit but definitely feasible.
The only thing I can say about this imposter bout coming up is that I hope Pac pulls a rabbit out of his hat and wins...Pac=good Mayweather=bad....it's a simple formula to me.
I live in London, so I no reason to support May or Pac for national reasons but I like May and Pac for different reason, they entertain me in different ways and are both truly great fighters but I want Manny to win for that exact reason. As great as Mayweather is he needs to be humbled.
I agree 100% with Marvin. Marvin was a great champion a real FIGHTER!! The way his career ended with that blatant robbery against Leonard broke his heart. No one could blame him walking away from the sport. It was the same with Henry Cooper after he was robbed in the Bugner fight. Henry walked away from boxing
Because people see the bravado, the ****y attitude, the money flaunting, the talk about being the GOAT, etc. And immediately hate him for it and like you say, they wanna see him get humbled. But unlike Tyson when he fought Douglas, no matter how much wealth and comfort Floyd has gained he always trains like a machine and takes every opponent seriously no matter how much of a favorite he is. And that is why I don't mind the bravado because he puts in the work to prove it in the ring and doesn't underestimate anyone. But for the people who choose to ignore that I just love seeing them have to eat crow fight after fight. And the sheer desperation they show with wanting to see Floyd lose and the fact that he is only about a year before retirement. Well let me just say it feels me will a lot of joy to know that their decade long wish will more than likely go unfulfilled. That's just how I see it.
Beast Mode fair comments, don't misunderstand me I like Mayweather as a fighter, he is a great, I just think long term a good slapping will do him good.
