Just curious how you scored his four decisions that were televised against Geraldo,Antofurmo,Duran, and Leonard. They were all pretty close on

    the scorecards

The Geraldo fight was significant not because it was close, but because Marcos went the distance without going down.Hagler won going away, despite the three blind mice doing the scoring. The Antuofermo fight was an outright robbery, one of the worst I've seen in 37 years of observation. The Duran fight wasn't as close as the scorecards said, but at least Marv got the decision.
From what I've seen, and I've seen it dozens of times, Leonard beat Hagler clearly. In my humble opinion , of course.

Geraldo - a comfortable win. Geraldo got the crowd going with a few flurries but it was Hagler doing all the hard work, landing the heavy shots. Never scored it properly but it was about 7-3 in Hagler's favour.

Antuofermo - Antuofermo did well, but a lot of his attack consisted of simply running in and butting. Grappling and mauling. He landed some good shots, but it was Hagler doing the major scoring. Close, but Hagler won by about 8-6-1.

Duran - nowhere near as close as most like to think. In reality, Duran wasn't or shouldn't have been ahead after twelve rounds. Duran gave a fine effort but was outdone by Hagler, something like 10-5.

Leonard - my least favourite fight of all time. I hate to watch Hagler this slow and sluggish. Some days I say he won the fight, some days I can't deny that Leonard outscored him, other days, like today, I just say... **** it, it was a draw.

Vito winning rounds 5,8,11,12 and 13. Marvin winning rounds 2,3,4,6,7,9,10,14 and 15. Had round 1 even.

Had the Duran fight 146-140 for Hagler.
Duran winning rounds 3,4,11 and 12. Hagler winning rounds 1,2,5,6,7,8,9,13,14 and 15. Round 10 even.

Had the Leonard fight 115-114 for Hagler.
Leonard winning rounds 1,2,4,6 and 11. Hagler winning rounds 5,7,8,9,10 and 12. Round 3 being even.

Hagler easy beat Marcos and Vito...
Hagler beat Duran by a UD, but it was much closer then his fights with Vito and Marcos...

Hagler should have gotten a split decision against Leonard.... at the very least a draw... but there is no way Leonard should have been given the decision in this fight. Hagler was the champ..... If you are not the champion, you have to go out and take the title from the champion. Leonard did not do that.

I'm not challenging your opinion in anyway, but thats the least amount of rounds I've seen anyone give to Duran. You got the winner right, thats for sure. And I'm not quite sure how the judges managed to come up with such a close fight. Competitive rounds although very clear for Hagler in the ones he won.

Yeah I have it wider than most. Had a great big debate on it a couple of years ago, perhaps on the general forum, can't remember now, but I remember going pretty in depth on it with the poster divac and a few others.

I've never understood how anyone can have this fight close to even after 12, which a lot do. I thought Hagler was in control pretty much from the word go.

But as you can see by my fairly wide scores in other Hagler decisions, and the fact that I gave him the Leonard fight, I do have a tendency to favour him more than others.

The commentary, crowd and eye catching strategy of Leonard makes the fight harder to score then it should be.

Very close regardless, but I think Hagler won it and that doesn't change with repeated viewings.

Then again, I scored one of the first few rounds even as opposed to giving Leonard all of them like most do.

Never scored the Geraldo fight but I'd say Hagler probably won at least 6 rounds with one even maybe. Was a tense fight and quite good to watch. Big right hook in the 5th, I think, changed the flow of the fight.

The scorings for the Duran and Vito fights were about as insane as each other. I had Hagler winning something like 10 rounds, at least, in both fights.

The SRL fight I had Hagler winning 115-113. I have to say though that some of the rounds were extremely close. Off the top of my head, rounds 3, 10 and 11 were all very debatable. 1,2,4 were Leonard's, while 5,7,8,9,12 Hagler's. I lean toward 3 and 6 for Leonard, and 10 and 11 for Hagler. The fight was close, unlike the fights with Vito, Duran and Geraldo.

Antuofermo is getting bad deal, he did a lot better than people give him credit for, I think he won, at time a lot of people did, but writers have put Antuofermo down so mch, and put Hagler on pedestal.

The Duran fight bored **** out of everyone, I think Hagler won though.

Leonard fight Hagler got bad deal.
