I went on to see what else is possible and I picked these guys Light Middleweight Fight - Saint Louis MO 3/27/08 Cory Spinks -675 22:00 ET Middleweight Fight - New York 3/28/08 Kassim Ouma -600 21:00 ET Light Heavyweight Fight - Tampa FL 4/12/08 Chad Dawson -275 23:00 ET Welterweight Fight - Atlantic City NJ 4/12/08 Antonio Margarito -295 23:00 ET Welterweight Fight - Atlantic City NJ 4/12/08 Miguel Angel Cotto -800 22:00 ET Your Total Bet: 5.00 Total Potential Win: 8.76 so obviously it's really not even worth it to always pick such big favorites. That's why I think Hopkins is a smart pick because he single handedly brings at least triples your winnings and even those hes a dog I only think hes a 60/40...But like i said i dont bet against Hopkins.
Damn, how did your account ever dwindle to 10.73? :think Seems like you oughtta be filthy RICH by now! :hey I use Bodog for betting and it idiotically doesn't allow parlays. Who do you use?
well a parlay is nothing more than an accumulation of successive bets, where everytime you win you place the winnings + original bet on the next event So you can do a parlay yourself.
Do they all work exactly like that? I remember reading online on bodog's site how the math is done and that's not what I gathered. Maybe what I read was a technical explanation of just what you've said, though. If that's true, I suggest they hire you as their new technical writer. :good
Do the parlay I showed you with the same amount of fighters. It pays over 10X your money and like I said; it has a good chance of happening (I give it 95% chance if Casa pulls the upset) versus your parlay where you have BHop.....whom I give a less than 5% chance of winning. JC is going to end his career dude :deal
I think so (i call them accumulators not parlays so i'm not sure) the easiest way to understand the odds of an accumulator is to look at the individual decimal odds of each bet and multiply them all. In the OP's example Gavin Rees @ +125 (2.25) Chad Dawson @ -275 (1.364) Margarito @ -295 (1.339) Hopkins @ +190 (2.9) multiply those 4 decimal odds and you have 2.25 * 1.364 * 1.339 * 2.9 = 11.92 or +1092 which is what he is getting there
That's a horrible parlay and I wouldn't take that to win 500 dollars with my 10. Hopkins has no chance and Margarito is too big of a risk. You're just throwing money away.
