It probably took him about a month to learn Spanish. He already spoke Italian, which is very similar to Spanish.

The word "malignaggi" means "malign actions". Actually, considering his low KO average, he should be called "Paul Benignaggi".

Yeah, I'd heard that he speaks Spanish before.

If his voice wasn't SO f*cking annoying, he'd be great on TV.

A lot of my Italian clients seem to be able to speak or understand Spanish no problem. I think its part of their high school curriculum in Italy. The same with some 1st generation Filipinos.

If I'm not mistaken Pacquiao speaks a Filipino dialect called "Jabacano" (not sure of spelling) this is very similar to Spanish and spoken on his main island of Mindanao.

Yep. I know they are very similar. I've watch fights with Italian commentators and I understand almost everything (don't speak a word of it though).

Still, I didn't expect it. He just started talking Spanish really fast and I was like wtf.

It's Chabacano, it's what Jamaican Patois is to English:
    [ame]http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chabacano[/ame]

I don't know if he speaks Chabacano, but he speaks Tagalog and Visaya...

Oh I almost forgot, he speaks broken English as well. :D
