I take so seriously posters who don't manage to note Mike Weaver among his opponents.

Poor record? Larry or your research skills?

Ocasio two wins over Young is not impressive after he was stopped in three by Cooney and lost to Randy Neuman who himself was ko'd twice by super bum Chuck Wepner

He wasn't the world champion when he beat Mercer and Mercer ran so hot and cold you really couldn't call that a great win.

Berbick's win over Tate was nothing.

Leon Spinks? you must be joking!

Frazier only had ten pro fights.

Witherspoon and Williams were green kids who beat Holmes.

David Bay was another green kid who got lucky against Page.

Smith was another green kid, well, you get the ideal?

By the looks of it, you're blaming Larry for these green fighters ruining the fights against the more experienced fighters. As I showed already, these green people beat the more experienced fighters and therefore got the title shots.

Witherspoon and Williams both lost decisions against Holmes, I agree with both decisions. The Williams fight I had dead even going into the 15th, but Holmes won that round along with the fight. The Witherspoon was a close, clear win for Holmes in my book.

I can only imagine how Holmes would be looked at if he were fighting the people the green fighters had just beaten. It wouldn't look very good if he were giving a bunch of people title shots as they were comming off of losses to fighters with 20 fights or under, now would it?

Holmes shut Berbick out over 15 rounds.

Out of the 20 title defenses, Larry stopped 15 people. Hardly struggling. He lost fewer than 10 rounds on all 3 judges scorecards in his first 8-10 defenses. Again, hardly struggling.
