People are holding Mercer up very high!
Are you talking about the same Mercer that fought to a draw with 12-41-4 Marion Wilson and was overheard "Pleading" with Jesse Ferguson and offering Ferguson $100,000 to throw the fight??

This thread is just a Wlad nuthugging thread. Downplay Holmes' era and talk about how shitty it was and it was so shitty but Holmes is considered so great so Wlad should be considered so great too.

Its a joke seriously you people have NOOOOOOOO knowledge of boxing. You have boxrec and number and a Klitschko **** in your mouth thats all.

 here we go .. you picked 6 fighter out of 75, three of which were champions or former champions when he fought them. Holmes faced mercer long after holmes was past his prime and Mercer was a young WBO champion..

The man launched a two-footed drop-kick off the roof of a Camaro, into the chest of another fighter, infront of TV Crews and Police Officers.

He's a ****ing ATG and I'll hear no more about it.

The WBO was nothing in 1990.

However, Holmes should be given certain credit for that win.

Again, if Mercer is the only fighter Holmes has for his ATG status thats not saying much. A fighter who offered bribes to opponents so they wouldn't humillate him....

    That's it. Numbers don't lie.

If you`re a fighter and your record shows fights against 2 or 3 green prospects, ok it´s normal.

If your record shows more than 8 fights against prospects, there's a tendency. It´s something that can be criticized.

again the fact that Holmes was in his mid 40s when he gave Mercer a complete boxing lesson, and this was the same mercer that totally WAXED Tommy Morrison the fight before.. If you can't appreciate the significants of that, Im not sure what to tell you.. Considering he completely dominated the younger champion, unlike Hopkins and George who had problems with their younger challengers. Holmes did it before they did and a lot more convincingly ..

To bad no one bribed Holmes not to beat Mercer ass.
