Mwakinyo is stretching up a high-planking left jab while turning clockwise thirty degrees away from Tinampay and circling to his left. Tinampay lumbers forward, pawing up top with an exploratory jab and then whipping left hooks up at the hairline of Mwakinyo. Tinampay rolling his upper body into a ball after jumping in and missing a hook, causing Mwakinyo to miss his counter overhand right and then neatly ducking a left hook of Mwakinyo's own.

Mwakinyo is allowing Tinampay to walk him down and lump in unanswered four- and five-pieces on the body. Mwakinyo is backed into a corner with a skewering right hand on the abdomen, then slapped in the face with a dolphin-breaching-the-surface left hook. Mwakinyo seems to be implementing a Deontay Wilder strategy, giving away the play and shoring up his strength to land the big kibosh later. Bold move versus somebody that has never been stopped in 51 bouts, and faced decent opposition. Tinampay is mauling him, clapping Mwakinyo behind his ears and performing drum-rolls on the body as Mwakinyo ineffectively pushes out the right hand in a feeble countering attempt with no leverage.

Round 3

Mwakinyo is pumping jabs out into the guard of Tinampay, backing off a few steps and then squatting, letting Tinampay walk to him and then springing booby-trap left hooks up top, mostly caught on the back of Tinampay's right forearm. Mwakinyo is taking brief stands in the middle of the ring, attempting to bait Tinampay with a light jab and then smash him with a hook, but Tinampay not falling prey, advancing cautiously, but inexorably, forcing Mwakinyo to cede ground eventually.

...and the channel has cut the feed.

 

Alright guys, I think it's been thoroughly broken. You've broken that Matukio news down into smithereens (although nothing has actually been reported despite flashing that graphic now 50+ times). Any chance we can resume live boxing coverage, now?

Mwakinyo just keeps loading up on one big hook at a time. Seems to not be the right strategy against Tinampay, and has seemed that way for several rounds. Come on, lad, where's your plan B, eh?
