This thread deserves a "he was ahead at the time of the ottke stoppage!" quote.

My sarcasm detector is off the charts.
    However,,.....

Do you actually think for a second that Mikkel Kessler will not get in the HOF?
Do you think Ottke will not get in the HOF?
****in idiot if you actually think that.

    Now look at Geale's resume.
Sturm only! (And sturm beat geale senseless)

Ottke for the zeroes, maybe. I'm not sure why you think Kessler would get in except as a perfunctory nod to the Danes?

Anyway my point is you guys (as in Mundine fanatics) are coming on here in the wake of the Geale victory and claiming some kind of superiority based on Choc's victory over Geale. Well fine, if that's how you want to play it let's acknowledge Manny Siaca as a greater fighter than Mundine?

And yeah you are right Kessler and Ottke are clearly superior to Mundine. So where does that leave this man with incredibly ardent fans? A journeyman who refused to journey. Who attracted second rate belts to Australia with a fat chequebook made possible by notoriety and not much else.

I guess I'm just asking you to assess your fighter reasonably. It wasn't him that went and took two of the main titles out of the German's backyard. All he has is a contentious victory over the guy that did.

They were ahead at the time of the Ottke/Wlodarczyk stoppages.
There you go 2 for 1 East and West coast nuthuggers represented.

Whoa whoa whoa Duke. Kessler is a definite future HOF'er. He's a great fighter with losses to only 2 fighters, future HOF'er Joe Calzaghe and future ATG - HOF'er Andre Ward. He's got a very good resume.

If Calzaghe goes in, Kessler will definitely be there.

I'll admit I really don't know enough about it (the HOF) - Kessler is a super-middleweight with a good resume but if he was American would he be a future Hall of Famer? I just assumed that the Hall of Fame required something a bit special.

Siaca got lucky, Mundine had a bunged Ankle for that fight and was almost going to cancle the show, he didnt want to let his fans down and it would have cost him money to put the show back a month or two so he decided to go ahead with it and ended up costing him his title.

His 11th fight as a pro he went to Germany, amateur experiance was only a hand full of fights. Got to give the guy credit, he was winning the fight until he was caught with a temple shot and couldnt recover from it. Cant say he refused to Journey when he has done this, boxing is a bussiness and he made ALOT of money fighting in Australia so there wasnt a need for him to Journey for each fight. He revived boxing here in Australia, give credit where Credit is due. And no im not a fanatic Mundine fan, im not even a fckn fan anymore, just have to state the obvise and keep you ****s in line
