I absolutely loved watching Vargas fight, but i dont think he's HOF worthy.

More worthy than Arturo Gatti or Sylvester Stallone, FFS.

Vegas is not Hall of fame but Hatton is?:patsch

Typical fan boy. Weren't you the same person that said Hatton was a hall of famer. Unlike Hatton who whose shaft you got deep down your throat, Vegas has actually beaten a hall of fame fighter, and he didn't need a foul his way decision unlike Hatton.

Their resumes are about equal. Difference is Hatton trancended boxing over two continents. His popularity far surpasses that of Vargas. Its called the hall of fame for a reason you tool.

Vargas was one of my favorite fighters in the late 90's and I thought he had special talent. Unfortunately, he ran into Trinidad's left hook. And then DLH's left hook. And then Mosley's hooks. Not a HOF'er

You Brits are found of overstating your importance. The same attitude you have in football you also bring it to boxing. Hatton never transcended **** in America. The only reason people know who the fucc he was was because he was fighting Mayweather and Pac, so stop trying portraying as some sort of cultural icon. We American's are not obsessed like you Brits, we have a higher standard for our boxers. By our standard Hatton is no more than an espn friday night fight level fighter.

The other times he fought in America against Jose louis castello 99 percent of the fans in stands were football hooligans that followed him to Vegas and the **** was on regular BAD.

I can name 10 fighters who can easily out-do Hatton in viewership number if they were fighting in their home countries. Canelo vs Mayweather did 3x what Mayweather vs Hatton and hardly hear anyone this side of the world portraying Canelo as some sort of revolutionary figure.

By the way Vegas was one of the most marketable fighters in boxing during his time. Just want to get that out the way, not that it matters in regards to a fighters qualification for hall of fame induction.

You Brits? Why does this have to be a nationalistic thing? But please, go ahead and name me 10 fighters more popular during Hattons time. Hatton was so popular Floyd said he'd be willing to fight at Wembley stadium in a rematch he knew there'd be so much money in it. Did you see the Tszyu fight? How many fighters are so popular they can bring 2000 fans with them over seas to see their guy fight Luis Collozo? Get a clue you mong.

By the way, i live in Charlotte NC. Born and raised in Providence Rhode Island. :yep

Dude you claimed Hatton transcended boxing in two countries. Correction, Hatton was popular in Britain. Outside of Britain no gave a **** about him. Mayweather vs Hatton did something like 700,000 right after Mayweather got done breaking the alltime ppv record against De La Hoya. Those are not good numbers by Mayweather's standard and definitely not the type of numbers that someone who transcends boxing brings. Robert Guerrero and Tito Ortiz brought more ppv mumbers than Hatton.

Ya, Mayweather wanted to fight Hatton at Wembley. why not, Hatton was easy cheese.
