Well as a pro Lazlo papp is the least accomplished on this list, arguably the greatest amatuer of all time.. But i dont think that counts or you could throw in some guys with great amaturer careers and solid pro careers. Out of the champions is definitely Barry Mcguigan, he has some good names but caught most of those guys at the slide)Pedroza,Taylor) or on bad nights(Laporte)... Dont mean to bash on Barry but he stands out as i thought he was even overrated back then.. He cracked the pfp rankings (think top 6 or 7?) considering the other guys around at the time it thought it was hi... If Barrty gets in then theres some oither recent guys that should get in one day.. For instance most say Vargas doestn make the cut, but he was better than Barry has similar quality wins, and his losses were only to elite opponents... Outside of an aging Pedroza he never fought an elite pfp type of opponent.... Genaro Henandez,Donald Curry, mark johnson havent made it yet and way more accomplished.. I thik Hatton was at least as good as Barry head to head,,, Has a similar big win over fading great but i thik has even more title defenses. oK sorry Barry theres a guy less deserving and that would be Ingo... One win over Patterson while getting kod in the other 2 far from cuts.. Has ko over Machen and a couple others but far from a IBHOF type reasume.. Since Ingo got in im gonna picket at IBHOF in down the line if Mayorga doenst get in. Norris definitley deserves it yey he had some bumps.. But of all the JM champs he might have the best resume... And although had a bad chin he stuck around the mid or upper part of the pfp rankings for quite awhile. .... I say just kick out Lazlo,Ingo and Barry hahah!! Jk much respect to those guys as they were better than 99.99% of fighters that ever laced on a pair of gloves... But they have to cut it somewhere, becasue if not there are some other names that should have already been in. Ability wise Zarragoza was very good ,but not great.. But based on longevity i would say the he should be the gatekeeper... Id say Norton is lucky to get in., based only on the win and trouble he gave to a still great ALI.
