Hey all, I’ve decided I’ll be going to Canastota for the 2020 inductions. I’ll be arriving there probably midday Saturday and staying until after Sunday’s ceremony so I’m not there that long.

I just had a few questions.

Is the c0cktail reception worth attending?

Is the banquet of champions worth attending?

What is the dress code for the above?

I really want to see the hall itself, all the plaques etc; and of course have good chats with fans and the boxers. Am I right in assuming you can knock out the hall and the plaques, memorabilia etc; in a couple of hours? I’d like to see all that before any of the Saturday evening festivities begin.

    Thanks!

I will be arriving in Canastota around 12 or 1pm Saturday of the induction weekend and will be there until Monday morning. I just bought the seating for the induction ceremony. Not sure I’ll do the banquet because I don’t wanna travel with a suit and tie.

    Anyone else going?

For the fans it's great. There's also a motorcade parade with the fighters that can be viewed for free. You can get excellent pictures. This is not the pro football hall fo fame. There's less of a crowd, and the fighters are very accessible to the fans. Well, most of them are.

I have no idea about the banquet. The 2020 class will be announced in December 2019, I think. In fact the ballots are out now.

"Boxers added to the men’s modern ballot for 2020 include Jorge Arce, Timothy Bradley, Vuyani Bungu, Joel Casamayor, Diego Corrales, Carl Froch, Bernard Hopkins, Sergio Martinez, Juan Manuel Marquez, Shane Mosley, Antonio Tarver and Israel Vazquez. "

Does anyone have the full ballot?
