This is thread in which I, and possibly Hands of Iron, list how various fighters did against to 10 opposition. A couple of caveats: this list is compiled second hand so errors are probable. Two, this list is quantitative not qualitative: a guy may have done more beating 13 top ranked guys than another did beating 30. Lastly several current fighters and old timers are excluded because I don't have complete access or they predate the concept.

I was just going to go in alphabetical order but that seems boring, so I'll break it into chunks. I'm just going to list the raw record, with perhaps some notes. If you want a breakdown of who was beaten, to get some faces to the numbers or to correct a mistake, just say so. Requests are welcome.

I might have quite a lot of these already, specifically from the modern era and some past ones also.

I only looked at prime losses though.

I saw what you guys were listing on the Oscar de la Hoya thread and found a couple of other threads where things like this were mentioned, including one very good one on boxrec. Curiously enough, I didn't see the stats on De la Hoya in the Hoya thread.

Boxers' records versus top ten competition
    Joe Louis (incl. 2 light-heavyweight champs): 30-3
Muhammad Ali (incl. Light-Heavyweight Champion): 31-6

    Ali: 32-5
    Louis: 30-3
    Holmes: 20-5
    Lewis: 15-2-1
    Tyson: 13-4
    Holyfield: 11-7-2 (HW only)
    Marciano: 11-0
Joe Frazier 10-4 (9-4 if you don't count Foster)
    Sonny Liston 8-4

    Ray Robinson 44-13-1
    Ezzard Charles 40-17-1
    Henry Armstrong 33-12-2
    Emile Griffith 36-17-1
    Ike Williams 33-15-1
    Archie Moore 44-15-4
    Roberto Duran: 19-11
    Mayweather 18-0
    Willie Pep 27-8
    Jose Napoles 23-4

    1. Ray Robinson 45
    2. Archie Moore 43
    3. Ezzard Charles 40
    4. Emile Griffith 36
    5. Manuel Ortiz 34
    6. Henry Armstrong 33
    6. Muhammad Ali 33
    8. Ike Williams 31
    8. Joe Louis 31
    10. Willie Pep 27
    11. Jimmy Bivins 25
    12. Harold Johnson 24
    12. Jake LaMotta 24
    14. Jose Napoles 23
    15. Joey Maxim 22
    16. Kid Gavilan 21
    16. Carlos Ortiz 21
    18. Joe Brown 19
    18. Charley Burley 19
    18. Joey Giardello 19

    Beau Jack 18
    Sandy Saddler 18
    Flash Elorde 17
    Ray Leonard 17
    Benny Bass 17
    Jack Kid Berg 16
    Barney Ross 16
    Bobo Olson 16
    Luis Rodriguez 16
    Dick Tiger 16
    Sammy Angott 16
    Alexis Arguello 15
    Carlos Monzon 15
    Chalky Wright 15
    Julio Cesar Chavez 15
    Jimmy McLarnin 13
    Fritzie Zivic 12
    Billy Graham 6
    Barry McGuigan 4
    Daniel Zarazoga 4
    Khaosai Galaxy 3

By the way, I see that Mayweather is up to 18-0, but has anybody run the numbers on Pacquiao? I'd also like to see the results for other recent greats such as Hopkins, Marquez, Mosley, and Whitaker. Or the real old timers like Greb, Gans, Sullivan, Walcott, Nonpareil Dempsey, and Bob Fitzsimmons. Benny Leonard, Tony Canzoneri, Marvin Hagler, Salvador Sanchez, Eder Jofre, Mickey Walker, Ruben Olivares, Langford, Wills, Dempsey, and Carmen Basilio all need doing too. Thanks.

Hhascup is the king of this btw.

It's literally his thing. He probably has the biggest database of ranked records in boxing history.

He has access to all the monthlys which puts him head and shoulders above almost everyone else.

He's like a boxing savant for records. If he ever posts here again beg for his input

Of course some might dispute that...

Go get him! I would love nothing more than a database like thing so that all our questions could be answered.
