Thought it was strictly at the time? Some of these seem way off.

If we did it Ovids way, Robinson's list would likely be atleast twice as long as it is.

Yep. I think ours is more instructive.

'At the time' is definitely a more curious exercise. Though it's not needed, pin pointing exact ratings is nice when you can get that information too. Who would've known Bernard Docusen was the No. 1 rated welter when Robinson defended against him? You wouldn't of known that from BR. Things changed quite A LOT within 12 months considering how active guys were during the era.

Yeah, you could go from a force to a phantom in the course of a year. Both are useful but should be taken with grain of salt.

Robinson wasn't fighting to see who the best is. He was fightin' for money, B.

Rafael Rodriguez was a former Top 10 contender at one point, and Willie "Fireball" Rodriguez would achieve a Top 10 rating at 140lbs after facing SRL.

    Slapsie Maxie!! :admin:admin:admin

I had no idea his resume was that stacked....I mean, I knew it was good, but that's ridiculous. I wonder why his name rarely, if ever comes up when the resume threads are made?
