If we did it Ovids way, Robinson's list would likely be atleast twice as long as it is.

 

'At the time' is definitely a more curious exercise. Though it's not needed, pin pointing exact ratings is nice when you can get that information too. Who would've known Bernard Docusen was the No. 1 rated welter when Robinson defended against him? You wouldn't of known that from BR. Things changed quite A LOT within 12 months considering how active guys were during the era.

 

Robinson wasn't fighting to see who the best is. He was fightin' for money, B.
