No... I always thought that Small wins a close fight and I still think that would be the case.

I like Anthony Small. His ring "persona" is hillarious but it is an act; something to get everyone talking about him.

I'd like to see Small vs Sam Webb next. They last fought each other in the S.E London ABA championship in 2004 (possibly 2005) and Small got robbed big time. However, their styles blended well and it would be an excellent fight.

Their man got beaten fair and square. If Hughes is resentful, admittedly because he really seems to love his fighters, then he needs to look at himself and the tactics he espoused. Ok, so Small was clowing? So what - don't respond to it. Do your work, score the points and don't go for the KO.

Focus on the body then step out once you've fired off three-four shots. Pushing in and smothering your own work is stupid against a mover.

Anyway, soon as Small started firing shots off, his plan had been obvious. Hall was so busy being angry that he wasted all his energy and then, when Small actually fought with him and traded, he didn't have the snap or the speed left to do any damage.

I think, though I could be wrong, that he is Small's mandatory...

    Would be explosive.

You're right about Small's relationship with the judges. That night at Crystal Palace, when they clast fought, Small was excellent and from that night I've predicted good things for him. However, when they read the scores even the Webb fans sensed that it was a poor decision. His face was battered because of the punishment it took during the fight. In fact, from memory, I remember Webb's face being so bad that it should have been stopped.
