If you'd included Tom Johnson I'd be more inclined tk agree. But whilst ripping apart Frochs resume but not Hameds (Bungu coming up in weight, inactivity IIRC; went life-and-death with Kelley, Vasquez was a veteran and arguably at his best at a lower weight etc etc) you've painted a very one sided argument. I don't think he lost last night either, anyone expecting anything less competitive than that are out of their minds, in the last few years Johnson has taken rounds from Dawson and Cloud at a higher weight, he strong, tough and experienced and was always going to pose those problems to Froch. Johnson is easily the calibre of a Bungu. Kelley was a hot-and-cold fighter. Naz himself also had some dodgy performances, lucky not to be thrown out against Medina, constantly caught by average Augie Sanchez....I rate Naz higher at this time don't get me wrong, and I think he gets underrated, but the criticisms of Froch are too harsh IMO :thumbsup
You can only fight who they put in front of you. And froch has fought the best and is next fighting who many consider top dog @168. Only guy he hasn't fought yet who is up there is Bute and I'm sure he'll take him on soon. Props to Carl, from the time of becoming champion he's fought only top dogs in the division, win lose or draw. The guy is a throwback. He beats Kessler in Nottingham and will drag ward into unchartered territory. Ward is favourite due to better skills, but froch will definitely give it a good go. Bute being ranked number 1 in the division is a joke. In terms of opponents froch as a champion has much better resume at 168 than calzaghe. Although h2h calzaghe will always beat froch. Calzaghe was pinning his legacy to the Kessler fight, problem is Kessler reallyhasnt done too much.
