Corrales shouldn't have been in there. I believe he would have lost to a cab driver around that time.

You don't know a young FM's career do you? Young Floyd was a killer. Merchant called him the perfect boxer puncher when he was at the lower weights! Floyd didn't employ the "potshot" tactic until he developed hand problems and moved up and fought much larger guys. Naz was too small by 4" and way shorter arm length! Floyd keeps Naz at bay for the first part of the fight and takes him out by 8!

So what you're saying is a focused DC whoops Floyd on any other night? Castillo got robbed twice, Gatti got paid off, ODH way past prime, Mosely was shot, Pac got robbed, Naz,Tszyu, Frietas and a 140 Hatton all whoop up on Floyd? LOL At least you dummies are consistent with your hate! Keep up the good work!

Hype job Corrales lol, give me a break.

Floyd can't fight the way required to give Hamed problems, if Mayweather went life and death with a shop worn JUdah, imagine a prime 128lb Hamed who was faster than him and hit people with bombs. Floyd has a great defence but when he's been caught, even non-punchers have had him wobbled.

Hamed is one of my favorites but he has been dropped by lesser guys. He would have had to go up in weight to fight Floyd where the power was different. Hamed would have definitely been the A side for what it's worth but all that wild swinging ...wait Emmanuel Augustus. The Drunken Master gave Floyd a hard battle so maybe Hamed would have too.

Wow I'm shocked to read some of these posts.

i get there's a large percentage of British posters on here, but how anyone would think hamed would have anything more than a punchers chance (and that's being extremely generous) is just fooling themselves.

The guy is 5 foot 4 inches (about 1.64 meters.) Floyd is over 5 foot 8 inches and carries over a half a foot reach advantage.

Naseem fought with his hands down by his side and had to lunge in to get into his opponents with his unorthodox style. he was a sucker for counterpunches. Floyd was a technically brilliant fighter who was considered a young Ray Leonard for his offensive skills at the lighter weights.

Those talking about Mayweather's "defense" obviously have no idea how he fought for the first 10 years of his career. He went 27-0 with 20 KO's at the SFW division and cleaned house there. There's nothing to argue about here, those that think Naseem could've beaten Mayweather really have no idea just how great Mayweather was at 130 lbs. I rank him #1 all time at that weight class.

I was actually a big fan of Hamed's back in the late 90's. But let's be pragmatic here, he'd be lucky to be an 8-1 underdog in that fight and even luckier to hear the final bell.

We're talking about a guy whose best win was Kevin kelley. Kevin is from my neck of the woods and I can tell you with certainty he was no world beater himself.

And someone mentioned Corrales wasn't that good at the time he fought Mayweather. Chico was an undefeated champion who was universally recognized as a top 5 fighter P4P in the sport. Some people here really need to watch some fights on Mayweather at 130 lbs before spewing nonsensical garbage.

In fact, not only is Naseem lucky he didn't meet a 130 lb version of that guy, so is that fabulous 4 of MOrales, MAB, Pacman and JMM. I think FLoyd stops the majority of those guys at 130 lbs, most relatively easy.

Life and death? Bradely/Provadnakov, Ward/Gatti were and death fights! Judah/Mayweather was close the first 4 rounds, that was it! Don't let your hate for Mayweather make you stupid! What non puncher had him wobbled. Dude, you're an ass! Mosley had him wobbled, not a non-puncher, Madiana had him wobbled, not a non-puncher, Zab rocked him, not a non-puncher and Pac. Who else rocked him?

Big Naz fan but Floyd would of made him look silly. Floyd was too quick, too powerful and too big for Hamed at 130lbs.

Naz had unbelievable power in both hands but he was flawed. He would regularly lunge, regularly be caught off balance and vs Mayweather would of been exposed.

Yeah it was not close for 4 rounds, Judah put a clinic on until Sr choked him and changed the rhythm and Maidana couldnt even KO Khan!!! jesus christ lol.
Pac didn't even have to catch him with a hook to stun him, even Hatton had his head bouncing back and forth ffs.

Naz with his power would put the fear of god into Mayweather had they fought.

Yeah it's hard to build a big resume when opponents are unwilling to get in the ring with you, don't you think?

    I tell you one thing.

I would want to watch a Naz fight over a floyd fight any day of the week. All. Damn. Day.

Naz is what boxing is all about.

Naz's hands low defence is a fast counter punchers dream. He got away with that **** until he fought elite sharp shooters like KK and MAB who both had him flopping about all over the ring. Mayweather would tag Naz at will in an absolute schooling. Naz had chin and heart so he would make it to the later rounds probably with the ref or his corner stepping in to stop him receiving more single shot punishment. Mayweather's a stylistic nightmare for Naz.
