Who do you consider greater? Who do you consider better?

Tyzu was better, he beat Judah who was harder to hit than Naz, he did well v Floyd putting him above Naz, so Tyzu achieved more and was never dominated and expoded the way Naz was v Barrera.

Tszyu, by far. I’m not that sure Hamed was better than Judah. Tszyu was more skilled, more proven, lasted longer and beat better opponents.

Is this a trick question or something? It's not close, of course Tszyu was better. He was a master.

Hamed was quite hideous, missing and falling about.

Not sure. Haven't seen much of Kostya Tszyu, really, whereas I honestly thought Hamed ca 1995-97 was potentially Pernell Whitaker with power. He was 20 when he was mocking Belcastro, 21 when he beat Steve Robinson like he was nothing, I forget how old - maybe 22 - when he 'beat Billy Hardy like a ginger stepson'. And Billy had given Orlando Canizales a good fight when he was a younger bantam. He wasn't a flash in the pan either. He spent six years in world class company.

I think I'll wait this out and see what @JC40 or @JohnThomas1 have to say. They know much more about Tszyu than me. He showed he could rebound from what must have been a crushing defeat to Vince Phillips but we all know what Hamed would have said about that at around that time.

Pernell Whitaker called Hamed 'a joke' when interviewed at Hamed-Kelley.

Hamed. Zoo probably has the best win (Judah) but worse overall career.

I think Hamed's resume is being sold short here, and Tszyu's resume is being overrated.

It's also worth noting that Hamed's only loss was to an all time great.

He never lost to a Vince Philips level guy.

I've got to agree with X gonna give it to ya.
People being a little harsh on Hamed here and maybe a little kind to Tszyu.
Doesn't mean there isn't a valid argument for your position. I just think it warrants a discussion, not just a sweeping statement in favour of Kostya.

You couldn't get more diametrically opposed fighters in and out of the ring.
Tszyu is universally respected and usually liked, Hamed seems to polarize people..even people that enjoy his fights don't care to much for his antics.

I will say IMO Hamed was one of the biggest punchers the featherweight division had seen since Danny Lopez. He had true one punch power.

Admittedly I can only think of a handful of 140 fighters who I consider bigger pure punchers than Kostya. And some of them were just passing through.
Tszyu was more an accurate, patient accumulation puncher.

Tszyu for both for me Eddie but i believe Hamed gets underrated quite a bit due to his personality and outside the ring happenings. He's quite disliked in a lot of quarters. He'd give plenty of ATG's a nightmare.

For the record, I do think Tszyu was greater. For actual peak though, I think it's very close.

    Not even close.

A Nelson, G Hernandez, Morales and Mayweather would've stood Hamed on his head, as would Barrera in 95.

Zoo as an 11-fight novice looked more dominant against Angel Hernandez than an unbeaten Chavez had in his 80th fight. The guy was incredible.
