It's probaby racially motivated. The Americans hate Arabs and wouldn't want to admit one of them was any good at anything.
did JMM turn Hamed down, I heard it was the other way round, Naz chose to go in a different. Either way, Marquez is the superior alround talent, Hamed wouldnt have anything more than a punchers chance. Naz loses to the three mexicans, barrera, morales and Marquez. Hamed vs Manny Pac would be interesting...
no one here respects hamed...apparently a fighter can win every belt and linear and dominate a division for 4+ years and fight no one thats any good.
marquez ud wrong style for naz, and for those who think naz gets underrated i pick him over pac and make him slight favourite with morales depending on whether morales boxes or brawls

Are you trying to say Marquez would lose? If you are, then how could you favor Hamed in this horrible stylistic matchup?
i dont think hamed is that underated. even when he was undefeated many people felt a master boxer would expose all his technical flaws which is precisely what happened. how underated can you be if a very skilled boxer can negate your effectiveness. he was flamboyant and exciting but not quite great.
To say that Hamed would lose just b/c JMM is a good boxer is too simplistic, especially considering how tentative he was against Norwood. If he was scared to engage with Norwood, how do you think he would fight against Hamed? Plus, their resumes at featherweight aren't even close.
Never gonna happen. People should not compare active ones to inactives ones. Cause anything can happen.
Who cares about resumes? JMM has the worst style Hamed can be matched up with. I know you're a huge Hamed fan, but can you at least admit that? JMM would counter the hell out of him constantly and confuse him greatly with both his offense/defense. Since Hamed's only chance would be to land a huge punch on the chin and the chance of that happening over 12 rounds definitely isn't over 50%, there's no logical reason to favor him over Marquez. Steward himself said he wanted Hamed to stay away from JMM.
I think resumes are completely relevant. If a fighter dominates all types of styles for 4+ years and the other is so, so in his biggest fights at that weight, then why would you so quickly dismiss the dominant one? And the chance of Hamed landing a big punch, especially at the time they were supposed to fight, is definitely more than 50.50. I see the fight playing out like the Hamed-Soto fight. JMM would be cautious to a fault and give away rounds, much like he did against Norwood, who only had a belt b/c the WBA did not want someone to have the WBA and WBO titles at the same time.
