How good would have either of those fights have been with Hamed still training? At anytime and at any weight?
Both beat him. Hamed had concussive power though. Pacquiao in the lower weights was easier to land on, whilst Mayweather in the lower weights put himself in riskier positions than he would nowadays. Not sure Hamed could last the 12 against either, but he had a ****ing solid chin. Even if he was outclassed by Mayweather, or outpunched by Pacquiao...I will say he lasts the 12. Punchers chance against both, although both had the size difference on him.
Hamed would have a punchers chance against PAC. Against Floyd no chance. MAB showed that he is a sucker for technically sound fighters. PAC is a wild card with skill so he'd have a better chance. I wouldn't pick him to beat either.
Mayweather actually wanted to fight Naseem at one point. (He called him out after the Corrales match.) Hamed loses to both Pac and Floyd. Floyd would pick him to pieces, and even that version of Pac would overwhelm him with his speed, power and combinations. Hamed would have a better chance against Pac, though -- he was at his best when opponents came to him, so he could very well catch Pac coming in and hurt him. He had serious power, and punched from even stranger angles than Pac does. Pac would probably run over him, though...leaving your hands down against someone like Pac is a recipe for disaster.
Think both win.Pac would be a great battle, but Floyd would force him to fight on the front foot, take him into the depths and slowly but brutally take him apart.Pac would be a great fantasy fight though.
I give the Prince a punchers chance against Pac, but I think Pac would beat him in a very exciting fight. Mayweather would just put a clinic on Hamed.
Hamed could potentially stop a 126lbs Manny Pacquiao but would have virtually no chance at all against Floyd Mayweather Jr. That much is fairly obvious. As a side note, Hamed never stopped training.
My bad. I thought you were insinuating Hamed didn't train for the Barrera fight. Ignore me. I'm almost constantly on the defensive now.
