Because he didn't want to and he probably didn't want to pick up another loss. It marked the beginning of the end for him as his heart wasn't in boxing anymore.

But regardless, if not rematching Barrera makes him a fraud, does this make Hagler a fraud for not rematching Leonard?

Athletes do not age at the same rate. Should Fernando Vargas stick around as long as Bernard Hopkins?

seriously doubt that walking away makes him a fraud,he got to the very top of boxing got beat by a true legend, once a fighter like naz gets beat its very hard to get back,so much confidence, but where can the confidence actually be when he got beaten so bad.i can not call him a quitter because he fell out of love with the sport,he made millions of pounds enjoying being the focal point of the boxing world and will be remembered as a great entertainer who never fulfilled his potential.

ps. we dont call tyson a fraud and his story is much worse than naz's,at least naz knew when to walk away and was beaten by a much better fighter than tyon was.

calling naz a fraud because he left boxing and never wanted a rematch with MAB is like calling tito trinidad a fraud because he retired twice and never went after a rematch against hopkins. sometimes you have to be smart and know when a fighter has your number, that doesnt make prince naseem a fraud it makes him human.
