That is surprising. WBO don't want to earn money? Hughie Fury/Povetkin for the mandatory seems possible after Hammer against Povetkin.
Hammer is #1, mate. With Tom Schwarz #2 Still better than the WBA top 5 I guess. I can see why this isn't for the mandatory spot though, Parker only just fought one. I think we'll see Povetkin take the #1 spot by beating Hammer but then being ordered to fight a final eliminator against whomever should be willing to face him in the top 5.
I dont know why I thought Hammer was #9, sorry all Hammer fans. Yeah I knew Povetkin was 7th or 9th. It doesn't say that Povetkin vs Hammer is definitely on so who knows. It could be straight Povetkin vs Parker as we seen Parker likes the top of the top.
Povetkin will be pushing 40 by the time all this is sorted out and he gets another shot at the title.
Alexander "Beef Jerky" Povetkin. They better let him use his walker to get to the ring or I'm calling foul play.
On December 15th, the next major professional match was held by WBA heavyweight champion Aleksander Powietkin (32-1, 23 KO). So far, I am not 100% sure what the Russian will face and what will be the duel rate. It was originally assumed that a skater would cross Christian Hammer's gloves (22-4, 12 KO), and the winner would become the official WBO waiter, but as he betrayed in an interview with R-Sports agency Alexei Titow of Mir Boks, with plan. "Disagreements have arisen, Hammer's team is constantly changing the conditions, including the financial ones," Titov said. - We hope to solve everything until Tuesday. Sasha's fight will surely take place, we will try to get along with Hammer. "Officially, the duel will not be a WBO eliminator, but Paca Valcarcel has suggested that if Aleksander wins, he will be the official challenger for the title," added Powietkin, http://www.ringpolska.pl/boks-na-sw...tkin-jednak-powalczy-o-status-challengera-wbo
