Hamzah Sheeraz defended his WBC Silver title this weekend against the undefeated Dmytro Mytrofanov and said he would like to fight for a world title within the next 1-2 years. Apparently when the WBC rankings get updated Hamzah will be #3 contender in the top 15. Currently, the WBC champ is Jermall Charlo who hasn't fought in 2 years, the WBC interim champ is Carlos Adames and Hamzah is the WBC silver champ. Here's some questions I was hoping you guys could help me answer in regards to this: 1. Why hasn't Jermall Charlo been stripped of this WBC title for being inactive for 2 years? 2. If Jermall Charlo comes back and decides to defend his belt against a mandatory, will he have to fight Adames or Sheeraz first? 3. What's the difference between the WBC interim and WBC silver titles? 4. Finally, if Jermall Charlo vacates the title, will Adames vs Sheeraz get ordered or the #1 vs #2 contender get ordered? Got into boxing around 2 years ago so I'm sorry if the answers to these are supposed to be obvious.
1 hes a pbc fighter 2 no as hes a pbc fighter 3 they mean nothing it's just for money and to carefully guide a fighter to a title shot 4 look at another pbc fighter in wilder WBC order him and Ruiz to face each other 2 and 3 for a title shot Wilder said **** off I'm fighting Robert another pbc fighter We be crooks is a real thing
You've also got the wbc International that gives you rankings. The interim is supposed to be the one that gives you the mandatory or that's how I remember it. But as has been mentioned l, it's common knowledge that the governing bodies lean more towards specific promoters
Whatever routes keep him away from a y kind of power puncher Despite his improvement, he is chinnyand and looks a KO waiting to happen
