And Edgar Berlanga started his career off with 16 consecutive first round T/KO´s.
Hamzah is good, I won´t deny him that. He actually has some impressive performances under his belt. But that KO streak will come to an end if he moves up and starts facing better competition. And it´s totally normal.

he’s taller than the best HW.

I wonder where he eventually grows and settles into. Probably 175. I don’t see someone that slim making their way up to CW or HW, but 175 would let him fill out some, and actually be able to eat before a fight. I saw he has to starve himself for the week leading up to a fight to make 160, which can’t exactly be the best for athletic performance.

Hamzah doesn’t even look like he’s trying to throw hard or sitting down on his punches. It seems like anything he throws does damage to the guys he’s fighting without effort. He’s probably got a good amount of power he isn’t even using.

or he could be a hype job who flames out. I mean, **** happens. But I look forward to watching his career, probably more than anyone else right now. He’s got what seem like such absurd physical advantages — check out the length of his forearms and what his guard looks like. He’s able to guard his face and entire body at once. Don’t think I’ve ever seen a fighter with the arm shape to do that before.

but maybe I’m just a bellend, because I’m also a fan of Ben Whittaker.

He was said to be having 1 meal a day on fight week, that can't be good for you.. he needs to move upto 168lbs really soon ..

I'd imagine he's going to tough it out at MW long enough to score a world title before moving up. Can't be sustainable long term though. Like Hearns at 147.

I mean, I understand what Whittaker is actually doing. He's a legit prospect with talent and size, but he's fighting bums so he can clown around and look like Naz or Locche, generating absurd YouTube shorts and Tiktoks with his performances, using it to drive up his popularity and earnings.

But damn is it entertaining regardless.

At the same time, I worry he's going to end up in a fight with someone he can't handle eventually when he steps up, because he's spending his early career fighting guys not good enough to carry his jock strap.

    Yup.

Honestly, and Khan might be more natural talented than this kid.

I don't think you have to when you're that big and rangy he can just let them flow effortlessly and do serious damage and he picks his shots so well

Any idea how much he weighs on fight night? He definitely looks much better at 160 than 154

For sure, Sheeraz vs Janibek is a mouthwatering match up and Turki can make it happen
