The 3rd last punch I can see as being waived, as he still had momentum. The last two follow up punches are clear as day, he could see from his POV. No excuse for it to not be a DQ.
Thing is Sheeraz will know what Skeete brings this time. It’ll be an early stoppage and a good escape for Sheeraz after this debacle.
I'm not so sure he'll be abale to execute anything that different, he really isn't that good. This was supposed to be his statement fight and he was largely getting schooled by in inactive fighter in his mid 30's. Skeete has had the success he has had in his career through his ability to box, not his power, he's a clever boxer and I think he can again make Sheeraz look bang average at times.
Sheeraz's statement just wound me up once again about this bollocks: This content is protected First off, there's no 'appeared to' you muppet, you ****ing did it and everyone saw it. Take your appeared and **** off. Second, don't try to big yourself up by pointing out that there's no rematch clause and you've asked your team to do this. You're doing it because social media blew up with people calling you a cheat. Thirdly **** off and kindly ask Steve Gray and the spineless chocolate teapot that is the BBBoC to accompany you, they can **** off also.
The board accept his account as of his actions. Well color me shocked, wasn't expecting that and then the BBBOC to do nil. /sarcasm
The bit about the 'options available to him' like applying the ****ing rules? Did that ever appear as an option?
I can't stand the "he was going to win, anyway" crowd that always pipe up. Whether or not he was going to win - nobody knows - but if you do somehow have the ability to see into the future, that still doesn't give someone license to cheat.
Whether we like it or not, the Ref had a hell of a decision to make and a ton of pressure on him. Yes, that’s his job, but it’s not easy to DQ the promoters prospect and a kid being backed by BT- that’s just the reality. Skeete was told to stay on his ass by his trainer Dominic Ingle…if he had the brain capacity to follow those simple instructions, the ref would have been give the way out he needed and he would have no choice but to DQ Sherraz. Frank has already offered the rematch and, as it will now be quite anticipated/should have a spiky lead up he should get a higher purse..leave it at that and stop the moaning. Sheeraz had worked him out and was unloading anyway.
So dumb isn't it, by that technicality Roy Jones Jnr should not have been disqualified and handed a first career L when he punched the grounded Griffin because Jones Jnr was going to win anyway.
