I agree but in hindsight this was probably the best thing to happen to Skeete. Yes Sheeraz should have been DQ'd, yes he was probably going to win, but this way Skeete gets load of sympathy/publicity and a rematch and probably a few more decent fights off the back of it as it's a bit of a narrative, 'was beating Sheeraz until...’
I really don't like Sheeraz but now I'm going to keep a closer eye on him because it's going to be great to see him get ironed out. That spindly frame will have to fill out at some point and when he goes up a weight or too he's going to get absolutely battered.

Skeete should have flopped down and milked the foul for all its worth. A DQ is guaranteed only when you cannot continue. See: Jones-Griffin and Norris-Santana. The second Norris-Snatana match is the best example. Once Luis Santana dropped and played dead then the referee had no other option but DQ left.
I had it on in the car but had arrived at my destination before Frank's appearance. Probably just as well, it was bad enough hearing the events filtered through Gareth Davies and Jordan without listening to Frank trying to put a positive spin on it, They will be counting on people's memory being short, but when one has behave as a complete shithouse not once but twice some folk remember. If the ref, or board had done their job or if team sheeraz hadn't tried to fudge their mea culpa, this would be dying a death but none of that happened and sheeraz is going to be damaged goods from here on out, not because of the actions on the night, but by the subsequent half assed attempts at damage control.
