Skeete has jacked the rematch…I guess he knew that Sheeraz would wipe him out in a return and he just wanted the loss wiped off his record. This content is protected
Exactly. People don't realize just how rigged this sport is. 50/50 fight is super rare. The deck is always very heavily loaded
The British Board of Control is rotten from the core - Smith was on Talksport backing Steve Gray and the fight outcome. This organisation is worse than the English FA - arrogant, ignorant and not accountable. Sheeraz should have been DQ on the night and any Board providing professional oversight would have retrospectively arrived at this outcome having watched the footage. #Smithout
The fight was already 2 weeks ago. It’s Christmas next week. He then has 6 weeks to go until fight night. That’s plenty of time. He’s crying about wanting a rematch & hanging out the back of Simon Jordan, until Warren sticks it on him - he probably thought that they would swerve him.
If Skeete said let's do it around Easter, maybe even create a bit of hype about it after the cheating, and it was cheating and he should have been disqualified, do you reckon they'd be up for it? They only want to do things their way. One of my mates was trying to argue a case for Sheeraz the other day, I said to him "unless Sheeraz is used to fighting midgets or children he should know, 100%, that standing over someone and punching down on them is breaking the rules, it should feel wrong", it's never an accident, he knew what he was doing, he's done it before and he probably knows he has far more leeway with refs at this stage because of who is promoting him so if he does something like that he gets away with it. If what Sheeraz did wasn't worthy of disqualification then Maradona never handballed it against England, for me they're both as blatant.
Skeete is not in the position to call the shots- he’s 34 years old, he has no promoter and no particular fan base. Might seem harsh, but that’s the nature of the beast. The window for the fight is now, as Hamza will be taking time off for Ramadan in March so probably wont fight again into well into summer. By that time most of the steam of the incident would have been long forgotten and they will move Sheeraz forward.
I'm sorry but if you rate that bum Sheeraz, you really know NOTHING about boxing. There's a long list of domestic 154lbers that beat him easily. He's going nowhere, an old inactive past it Skeete completely exposed him. You deluded Khan/Sheeraz taxi driving fans really make me laugh. Skeete has no reason to dodge a rematch considering how ****ing easy it was for him to box Sheeraz' head off for 95% of the fight and make him look like a slow windmilling novice.
Apparently he will headline a card in June (maybe June 24?) and then will fight Denzel Bentley if he beats Kieran Smith tomorrow. Will be interesting to see if that would be for the British Title since Kieron Conway Linus Udofia has been ordered as a final eliminator by the board and will take place on May 27. I think Bentley beats Sheeraz but it would be a good main event and matchup.
