Mungia couldn't even eat up a french cab driver, Jermall is not even a proper fighter anymore and Canelo couldn't even up Berlanga, or John Ryder. You are just saying things.
Okay he'd possibly beat Charlo as Charlo is pretty out of it mentally these days, but it makes no sense that people think Sheeraz would beat Canelo. Berlanga really isn't that good.
I can't take anyone seriously that really thinks Sheeraz would beat Canelo. I'll give you that on Jermall if hes that past it but he wasn't ever that good to be honest. Like Berlanga is a gatekeeper who was also a hype job at best, lets face it.
Except for the fact that Sheeraz just beat a very recent opponent of Canelo under 5 rounds which took Canelo 12 rounds. I like Canelo, I thought he was a stud from both a boxing ability and promotional perspective when he first came on the scene.
Sheeraz has room for improvement but he's got real promise, especially since it seems his power carried.
Sheeraz hits really hard, is well schooled with good skills, and he puts his shots together beautifully with speed and vicious power. That alone is enough to pose a threat for everyone at 168. I'm not saying he beats all the top guys but his power, size, good skills and combination punching gives him a chance against them all. Fighting these very tall lanky fighters with leg length arms like him is almost an unfair fight, especially huge power punching ones. With their long arms and huge frames they can ascend through the weight classes, carry their power, and still look skinny when far above the division they started out at. The one thing you tend to find with them is that they can be a bit chinny or just flat-out chinny so I will need to see more of him at 168 vs better opposition than Berlangy before I can pick him with confidence vs the top dogs and some of the best prospects. Some I would favour him, others might be 50-50, some I might favour to beat him. Iglesias is the one he should avoid most of all for the time being. He might beat him but that comes with high risk and low reward. I would favour the Cuban in that one I think.
Definitely agree with you , in a way I wish the Canelo carrot wasn't hanging for Hamzah right now because now he won't face the top guys in the division so the Canelo fight stays safe .. My issue with that is Canelo might not want to face Hamzah , then I think Hamzah would have wasted time play it safe.. He should definitely fight again in Oct/Nov to stay active .. maybe Chris Eubank back home in UK hearing he not agreed the Ben fight and Eddie has given 24hrs deadline lol
Turki wants Clenelo to fight Sheeraz. I think he might have said he wants that fight even if Crawford beats Clenelo. I might be remembering that wrong though I don't see what's in it for Clenelo outside of that big Saudi payday though. If Benavidez didn't ''deserve a shot'' then why would Sheeraz by his own logic? I'd like to see Sheeraz vs the winner of Clenelo vs Crawford though but failing that there are plenty of other good match ups and tests out there for Sheeraz at 168 and some real 50-50 fights on paper and some many would favour to beat him Yes he should try and stay busy CEJ won't fight him. He's been ducking that smoke for a while now Like I said, whilst I rate Sheeraz and think his power and combinations are something nasty, I still need to see more of him at this weight vs some of the top contenders, champs and prospects before I can gauge his true ceiling. He looked great against Berlangy when he decided put his foot on the gas and even though I don't rate that clown Berlangy the power and combination punching during the KD sequences was electric and the fact he's being trained by Andy Lee now is something I consider a big advantage for him
Who cares if he was a recent Canelo opponent. It's meaningless. Canelo has fought many handpicked bums like Yildirim, Fielding, Skull, Khan, etc. Berlanga is completely ****. Terrible with zero good wins. Wake me up when Sheeraz beats a Alimkhanuly, Adames, Mbilli, Iglesias - which is never! Because he's simply not good enough. He just gets hype from desperate brown muslims who have NOBODY to support at the top level because they are so awful at boxing.
"which is never! Because he's simply not good enough." Sheeraz is undefeated and 26 years old with 22 wins, he's had one tough fight against Adames, where's the logic in what you've said?
