Has anybody fractured or broken a hand while sparring. I factured my index finger twice before.

The first time was because I had short wraps and sparred someone that decided not to wear headgear, landed the right on his forehead. I thought it was nothing and finished for the night. A couple minutes later It bruised up and doubled in size got it checked out and was told that I had a fracture. I've bought a 180' handwrap, but it almost gets hurt again and get small fracture hear and then.

I spent a long time with niggling hand injures; bought a pair of Grant gloves and been largely fine since.

I might buy some Grant gloves and see if they help out.

Years ago I had a similar injury to my right hand, except I hurt it in an out of the ring episode. For a very long time no matter how I wrapped my hands- and I used sponges and every other thing I picked up in reading or around the gym- it would hurt and swell. Finally I just stopped and thought about how I was throwing my right hand. I concentrated on turning it over and on getting my distance right and I've never had problems with that hand again, even hitting the bag without gloves, or with gloves and no wraps.

I'd experiment with wrapping your hands better first, but if that still doesn't work; Grant gloves are fantastic. They aren't the only gloves that are going to help, I'm just giving advice from my experience :good
