Unless anybody here has actually taken a punch from a loaded glove, or at least knows anything about plaster, you dont know what the **** ur taking about. People overblow this **** like it's the equivalent of taping anvils to your fists. I don't know how much plaster can actually add to the effect of a punch in boxing, but neither does anybody else except those who've actually experienced it themselves. And I haven't really heard anything definitive on the subject. I have no doubt Margo's career would have probably gone the same way even he wasn't cheating. He had the perfect style and physical attributes to beat Cotto the first time, wraps or not. Cotto beat him the second time because of what HE did not because Margo didn't have his wraps. So give credit to the man who won.

 

No but I know it isn't gonna make Pauli Malignaggi punch like Mike Tyson, which is basically what people around here are implying. Instead of making wild claims on the subject why not use some actual logic, but obviously that's too much to ask around here.

My point is Cotto beating Margo the second time had notihng to do with loaded gloves. By actually saying that was a factor in the fight then your taking away credit from Cotto's victory.

 

atsch Your comparing getting hit with a rock to some plaster inside of a soft glove. A better comparison would be someone wrapping the rock up inside a small pillow and then hitting you. Big difference, and still not the same.
