I bought my first set of handwraps today from a specialist sports shop in my town. However when looking at instruction videos on youtube and books all the handwraps i see people using have small loops at the start for there thumb. The pair i have made my fsport(Addidas apparently) dont have a loop until the end of the roll, thus i have to unravel the wrap and start that way. On the videos as soon as the person opens the wrap up the small string loop is there wihtout having to unravel it. As a result im stuffed trying to wrap my hands!! Does anyone know if this is a design fault, or is there a different way your supposed to use these??
You're just looking at the wraps wrong. Take what you believe is the end with the loop on it, and use it to start wrapping.
ah...see i tried that too...but it just seems totally different to all the wrpas ive seen on youtube etc. Ach i dont know maybe im a ****** but the design just seems so different..the loop is much thicker too.
When you buy them new like that the loops appear on the opposite end becuase thats how they are packaged, when you roll them back up you do it in reverse start at the velcro... From there when your done the loop is now where you see it on Youtube, and not all loops will look the same it depends on what brand you have, some look thicker some dont thats just the way it goes.... I prefer Gauze and tape myself.......
lol in his defence, when I first opened my wraps, I was also surprised to find the loop at the "end" of the roll. Don't worry, he will get it in time.
