Out of these particular fighters who are of around 6ft 5ins and 235lbs+, which of these had the fastest hands? In their physical primes of course.

I think that's pretty much the order I would have it in as well. Wlad when he was younger had very fast hands, Lewis' were pretty fast too. Bowe's handspeed was decent, Vitali's a bit slower, didn't have that much snap in his punches.

Wladimir Klitschko was definitely the fastest with a single punch, his straight right hand was a cannonball and still
is today at 41 years old.

Lennox Lewis was pretty fast as well with a single punch, not so much with combinations.

Riddick Bowe had good handspeed for his size but nothing special.

Vitali Klitschko was by far the slowest out of those 4 guys and he had a poor punching technique , he had some qualities and he was a good fighter but handspeed was definitely not one of them.

Yeah I think you're spot on tbh. Thinking about it Vitali's hands were slower than I remembered them being, he never really gained that natural looking technique despite being a natural fighter, always looked a little awkward throwing punches.

Vitali threw mostly arm punches and he wore his opponents down with a very good workrate, his punches lacked snap, his punching power is not in the least comparable to the devastating power of his brother.

You're right. It was his combination of work rate, not great but good power, and his killer instinct that stopped opponents.

Exactly, i think Vitali had above average power but i wouldn't rate him as a top 20 ATG heavyweight puncher
whereas Wladimir Klitschko is probably a top 5 ATG heavyweight puncher, i can't think of many fighters who
could have punched harder than Wladimir Klitschko.

Wlad's power is terrifying. Genuine one-punch knockout power at the top level. Certainly has ATG power. There are only a few that can be considered on the same level in terms of power.

As for Vitali, he can't be considered up in the top 20 heavyweight punchers imo, like you said. There are many fighters in the current division with more power, and certainly a lot from the past as well.

Wlad's hands in his prime were lightning fast, not only for a superheavyweight but for a heavyweight period.

Lennox is a somewhat distant second, followed by Bowe, then way in the rear Vitali.

Yeah I thought this poll would be closer tbh. Looking back it is clear that Wlad's hands were very fast, and not just for his size, definitely faster than the rest on this poll

All of them had effective speed. I think it's all pretty negligible between them really.

Don't be delusional. Vitali lacks speed behind his punches, so that diminishes the power output, but to say he's not top 20 is ludicrous.
Vitali is top 10 with ease. If you think otherwise, please state those who punch harder.
Wladimir is top 5 in terms of punching power, along the likes of Foreman, Liston, Tyson and Lewis.

As for the topic of this thread, there is something I'd like to point out. Lennox became a better boxer as he got older, after teaming up with Steward. So his peak was in the second half of the 90's. BUT he was also a lot heavier back then, therefore he lost some of his speed. Basically he was faster before he reached his prime, if that makes sense.

So it depends what version of Lewis we take into consideration when compiling the list. Basically, we have 2 lists IMO:

    1. Wladimir Klitschko
    2. Lennox Lewis - before he hit his prime
    3. Riddick Bowe
    4. Vitali Klitschko

    1. Wladimir Klitschko
    2. Riddick Bowe
    3. Lennox Lewis - in his prime
    4. Vitali Klitschko
