Haney should avoid unifying at 140 and move up for Jaron Ennis at 147

He shouldn't fight Lopez or Matias. Those fights offer nothing for his legacy. He should drop the belts and move up to 147 where I think he'll find the most success out of any division. Not only is it closer to his natural weight class but nobodies at 147. Pacquiao retired, Spence and Crawford moved up. Thurmans done. It's time for big Devin to swoop in and claim all those belts

Super Boots is the only threat.

Haney vs Boots = Duran vs SR Leonard.

If Haney wins thats ATG status and he'll go down as the most successful weight bully in history

Slow day for boxing? Fine, I'll add something.

Boots hasn't fought anyone of note. Lopez and Taylor would be interesting fights and are much more proven.

If anything I think Haney should have stayed at 135 to rematch Lomachenko, fight Tank Davis and Shakur Stevenson. Those would have been the far more interesting fights. I kind of think he is avoiding Tank who spanked him in sparring a few years ago.

Maybe, Ennis hasn’t done enough to give Haney a huge legacy boost though. I think it’s actually an interesting match up because I seriously question Ennis’ ring cutting abilities. He also seems to do these little pauses that cause him to take unnecessary shots. If Haney’s chins holds up(big ask), he might actually squeak a decision.
Ennis could’ve already taken over 147 if it wasn’t for some contract issues he’s having, damn shame.

Don't be silly Super Boots will violently KO his gigantic weight bully ass if he ever manages to summon the courage to move up and start fighting opponents his own size or closer to his size like Super Boots.

FTR, I don't think Super Boots weighs 165 in the ring at 147 ie. what Haney weighs at 140

''I don't get on the scale when I'm not in camp and stuff like that, but I don't get too big. I stay maybe 10-15 lbs overweight, when I start camp I'm usually like 65, 64. I'm always in shape because I stay in the gym, so it comes right off and I have no problem making weight.''

I like Boots a lot, but you don’t think Haney’s jab and movement will cause him problems? I’m not too certain on his adaptability, ring cutting skills, and iq. The Karen match was a stinker but excusable. Then in his fight with Villa he was doing a lot of unnecessary inside work. Also stayed in front of him for too long and got caught clean with some shots that he had no business getting hit with. Haney will most likely stay clear of Boots, but it’s an interesting clash of styles imo.

No, Super Boots will take his head off. Karen has some of the best feet I've seen in a long time and even then he had to fight very negatively to survive. When he let his hands go he actually did do well but it came at the risk of getting clipped. Haney is the poster boy for weight bullying and it makes a completely mockery out of the sport and having weight divisions. Super Boots has a longer reach, is blazing fast, has very good skills, punch variety and he hits like a truck. He's not an old man, 10-20lbs lighter with a shorter or way shorter reach, or well past prime senior citizen leprechaun.

I agree, Haney's style will give anyone problems and it is as you say,,, an interesting clash of styles that , in my opinion as well , could have unexpected outcomes.

He would get no credit because ennis isn’t proven yet. Also Ennis would obliterate Haney.

Makes no sense for Haney to fight Ennis it's a very loseable fight for him, and even if he somehow won it wouldn't add much to his legacy because Ennis is unproven atm.

A fight vs Lopez who is erratic with his performances and adds much more value in regards to legacy/money, whilst being a more winnable fight makes more sense to me.

Would much rather watch Haney unify at 140 than watch him outbox prospect Ennis
