Prefight prediction from Hearn was over 100K:

In an interview with Fight Hype, Eddie Hearn revealed that he expects Haney-Prograis to sell more than 100,000 PPV. He acknowledged the fight won’t sell as much as Gervonta Davis vs. Ryan Garcia which sold over one million PPV buys.

“What did Haney-Loma do? 100,000? I expect it to do a lot more than that, but I do also acknowledge it’s not Canelo against GGG. It’s not Ryan Garcia against Tank Davis, so i’m very optimistic because of the number of the gate,” Hearn said.

Bill Haney claims that it did better than the fight against Loma meaning above 150K & that's what Hearn told him. He also claims that Tank turned down a 20 million offer to fight Haney, this 20 million number I find hard to believe

Looks like they have no choice but to raise PPV fees again. If true, that's a pitiful number. Actually at this point I doubt lowering the price would help. It took a while but boxing is properly f'd up these days.

I don't know what anybody expects it's on a platform that most people don't have and requires you to have it to buy the Pay-Per-View. Haney got plenty of exposure on ESPN but he's not a household name

I like Haney but he's not a PPV draw. It is what it is.

PPV Should just be for the mega fights if they have to exist. It's just getting ridiculous, fighters end up on PPV before they've even built up a sizable fan base.

50,000 is **** poor tbh, I reckon me v my neighbour does about that.

I still don't get how it was PPV for Americans but over here across the pond it's free.

Besides next week I think the only 2 PPV's I've purchased this year were Eubank Smith I and Crawford Spence....everything else has been free or non PPV.

Not surprised....I was on record as being opposed to paying for this bout and weak undercard.

I'll pay for the 23 Dec card as it has 4 or5 compelling matches.

Haney is not a PPV draw. That should not have been a PPV fight. He doesn't have the personality and his fights do not end in spectacular KO. You need one of the two if not both to sell a PPV event to casual. 50k means hardcore fans only

I want to add the reason this is PPV was because both guys demanded PPV type money. And sure enough, neither guy are PPV purse worthy.

Horrible business model. Unbelievably bad really.

Hard to believe these are professional businessmen making these decisions.
