Listen, all I am doing is defending a fighter I am a big fan of, I didnt start the nationalistic nonsense, I just defended Burns! However I always get the blame as usual
The haters have been having a field day slagging Ricky off, when at the end of the day hes got a career defining win against the best in the division at the time, & hes had a couple of decent defences & is taking on a good fighter down in his neck of the woods in his next fight, hardly an 'awful defence' as the haters have been trying to brainwash everyone with.
Thats where I came in, & I think my valid points will have struck a chord with the more intelligent readers on the forum, even if they are too scared to come in & agree for fear of losing 'respect' amongst the clique.

You know me though, never one to bother my arse trying to win friends here, what you see is what you get with me, honesty. & I know Burns has his fans both north & south of the border, & rightly too! Cos hes probably the nicest guy in boxing today, & has a true Rocky story to back it up with.
However, there has been a nasty wee campaign here to demonize him & Billy Nelson, so I thought I would add my tuppenceworth. Not 'bandwagon jump' as you so kindly put it
Scottish boxing is my passion, & when I see fit, I will defend it to the HILT.

PS, as for Rob palmer, I dont pay enough attention to him to know when hes had a name change, or anything else for that matter:deal

Dinky, the glaring mistake I'n your post is that not a single person is criticizing Burns. It's his opponents that people are critical off and the fact that Nelson has openly criticized another boxer's calibre of opponent whilst defending his own.
