Looks like there are some things happening to the division in the first half of the year. JMM is moving up. Humberto Soto rematch against Antillon. Bradon Rios vs champ Miguel Acosta. Rios taaking about fighting the winner of that one. Good chance of Jorge Linares vs John Murray for a solid contender place. Champ Miguel Vasquez is fighting undefeated banger Leonardo Zappavigna. Former Valero victim is taking on Reyes Sanchez for a title elimanator. Hot prospect John Molina is back early in the year, as is David Diaz. Katsidis wants to fight in April and hopefully Robert Guerrero will too.

Thoughts on the goings on at lightweight? Who will take the head of the division, providng JMM doesen't come back down

Rios vs Soto would be great. The winner could get Marquez in Nov/Dec.

I dunno. He'll be up there with Khan and Bradley/Alexander. Lot more money involved in the, than with Rios. Plus he would not be only Mexican to win 4 titles, he would be the first one to sucessfully defend them in 4 divisions if he takes someone else on at 140. Screw it give him Maidana that would be very nice.

I like Rios. Would be good to see Katsidis & Guerrero fight again.

What's the story with Miguel Vasquez? I don't know much about him

I dunno. I reckon he would just take a quick title match at 140 against Morales and drop back down. He knows Rios and Soto are more beatable than the 140 guys and only Khan really brings in the big bucks.

He's trained by Margarito apparently. 2 losses to Saul Alvarez and Tim Bradley. Recently being on a bit of a run. Beat Breides Prescott for what its worth. Beat Ji Hoon Kim impressively, a mental brawler who is very fun to watch. Decent win over Domiguez and gonna face big puncher Zappavinga. Kind of a boxer puncher but he will definatly be doing more boxing against these bangers.

Still waiting for Rios to fight a champion-level opponent.

To me, him and Fury are still hype jobs until they do.
