    He had it about a year ago. After a brief hospital stay he was sent home to recover. He's fine now.

    Had only seen him at 147 and above until I watched an espn tape of him fighting Dejesus- 2nd fight. Blown away by his ferocity and skill. I have yet to see a tape of anyone at 135 that could beat him. Buts that another post. Now I know why Tyson was in such awe of him. If you watch that telecast mute it.......The "Dr. P" is beyond annoying while calling the action.

    To this day, the most impressive/most natural fighter I have ever seen. Not to many fighters that can dominate their natural weight class for a decade and move up and win titles in four weight classes.

    The bearded long haired Duran of the Lampkin fight looked a fearsome object, and the reply to a reporter when told Lampkin had been taken to hospital truly epitomizes the warrior he was " if I had been in better shape, they would have been taking him to the morgue " say what.....
