    He is certainly one of my favorites! Just like with early Mike Tyson it is hard to fully grasp the greatness of Duran in the 1970s unless you were experiencing it live. YouTube videos do not do either of them justice.

    You know, Kearns admitted he loaded Duran's gloves with plasticine's aparus before the Leonard fight so he could win from betting on his own man. I know he also said Duran didn't know...but how willfully blind could a man be if that was true? I hate to cast aperitifs but not sure about wishing him a happy birthday. Leonard said he knew it was so because every punch he could feel breaking his face. That is not sportsmanship. Never forget Toledo Duran.
