Hey, I was half asleep, drunk, stupid and drunk when I typed that up...I got my notes mixed up, god damn cut me some slack...:hi:
Ah yeah, keep forgetting the Byrd fight as a draw. Which mine as well be a loss when a belt is at stake. Unfortunate that 'foul pole' never officially held gold.
I've typed up some real nonsense on here drunk that I didn't even remember doing, but surprisingly it's usually fairly coherent.
Golota was unbelievable. I don't think I've ever seen a more fluid big man. The footwork, the upper-body movement, the slips, the bobing and weaving, the combination punching...He looked like a beast against Bowe. But then it all fell apart for him.
:rofl:rofl:rofl I started a thread called KINGPIN will KO Fury, then proceeded to add: Kingskiofhsafknmwokrjwoinmfeiafklkfcmmmmmmmmmmm for about 40 lines, thankfully IB deleted it...!!! Drunken stupors & computers do not mix well...:deal I try to type coherently when drunk, but sometimes my fat fingers hit the wrong letters...!!!
Yeah I think there was a thread where you had to build the perfect heavyweight... I said something like Golota with the mentality/work ethic of the Klitschko brothers and Vitalis chin. Even without the chin that would be an extremely tough combination to beat!
A lot of the threads I do when I'm half asleep, even with the Event Horizon Canelo thread I nodded off a few times.
It's a lot worse for me texting, I'll have to spend several minutes on a text that would normally take 30 seconds or a little longer. On a keyboard it's pretty easy even when absolutely trashed.
No, he never won a title belt. But that victory over local rival Mollo, when Golota was way past his best, with absolutely no speed, and an eye shut completely closed for a good portion of the fight, finally overcame adversity. :smoke
And don't do the talk-to-text when you're drunk...it will come out: I will be, damn it move idiot drivers, home in 30 minutes, damn I have to pee like a drunk uncle, damn all these red lights...!!! Yes I have sent drunk talk-to-texts like that...:sad2
Saul 'Canelo' Alvarez theCCIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIDJHSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSiHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHsiffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffffff
Yeah that was a good fight where he overcome adversity for the first time, the McBride fight was fairly fun to watch as well....
Don't think you're special, most of us fall asleep reading your boring threads...:tong This content is protected
I recall Larry merchant saying Golota "could not help himself" as far as throwing the low blows It's like he was trying to quit smoking; he just could not help himself lol
He was exciting to watch because you never knew what was going to happen. Ironically, that was his demise. The guy was a common street thief when he was young and like many people who live day to day, would go into survival mode, doing whatever is necessary to get by. It was unfortunate, because he had some real skills for a big guy.
