WBC President is 80 years young By Gabriel F. Cordero WBC President Jose Sulaiman today celebrates his 80th birthday. Sulaiman spend the day with his family, friends, managers, trainers, promoters, boxing champions and former world champions. In 1968 he joined the WBC and on December 5, 1975 in Tunesia he was unanimously elected president of the organization. He is recognized as an advocate for boxersÂ’ rights and has been behind many safety reforms in the sport.
