    By nice coincidence I was typing an article from Boxing News May 15 1981 for Fan of Sal- and it just happened to be Saad's 'real' birthday. He was six weeks younger than originally thought. Happy Birthday to a great, great warrior. Here is the vast majority of the piece in question:

    Aha! Many thanks. I'd actually heard about the "Loach" thing now that I think about it, but didn't know about the particulars or how he'd offered ten large for info. about his past. Interesting. Like I said before, I don't think I'd want to know.
